    Send me a real example, like a form, bid request, or job sheet. I'll send back a one-page written plan within two business days.

  2. The diagnostic

    I'll spend a week with your examples and your team. You'll get a written scope, a plan, a fixed quote for the build, and a clear explanation of what will still need to be done manually. If you don't find value in the week's work, you won't be charged.

  3. The build

    The price is fixed during the diagnostic, and the $2,500 diagnostic fee counts toward it. If what we scoped isn't live by our agreed date, I'll keep working at no extra cost. This is a promise about delivery, not about your results.

    Once your software is running, I'll keep it working: handling fixes, small changes, and being there when something goes wrong.

    Christmas Cheer project for Onslow Community Outreach

    I'm currently working on a fixed-price project for a nonprofit in North Carolina. It's a platform that will run their Christmas Cheer program for the 2026 season. Built from an empty codebase on Next.js, PostgreSQL and Vercel, it includes the entry screens families use with an assistant at the Christmas Cheer Center, and sign-in with passkeys, authenticator apps or a family phone code. The code lives in a GitHub organization in the nonprofit's own name, so it owns what it paid for.

    PostSecret Searchable Archive

    I designed and built, with Automattic's Special Projects team, the search and review pipeline that made about 14,000 secrets searchable by text, feeling or meaning. Every document is tagged across six categories and checked against 27 moderation labels in three severity tiers, so sensitive ones stay out of public view behind one review gate. Unpaid volunteer work.

    Melee

    Registration, payments and live operations dashboards that let a small team of organizers run large events, with financial reconciliation built in. I was the sole early developer and led product until 2025. Hundreds of thousands of people registered to use it.

  • NILmetrics · Co-Founder and CTO

    NILmetrics

    A data and scoring platform I co-founded and built end to end. Its pipeline keeps ESPN data for roughly ten thousand Division I athletes and hundreds of teams in sync on daily, weekly and manual schedules. Scheduled jobs compute each athlete's scores and dollar projections, signed-in admin tools trigger backfills, and dashboards serve four kinds of buyer.

When this solution is a good fit, and when it isn't

A good fit

  • The same bottleneck happens every week, not just once a year.
  • Someone can give me real examples, like forms, bid requests, or job sheets.
  • Someone on your staff will be responsible for checking what the software creates.
  • You prefer paying a fixed price instead of tracking hours.

Not a fit

  • If there's already a $29-a-month tool that does the job, I'll tell you which one, and you won't need my help.
  • You quote machined parts from CAD files. Products such as Paperless Parts are built for that.
  • You want software that makes decisions on its own, without anyone checking.
  • You need it done by next week. The diagnostic comes first, and building the software takes several weeks.
