Since 2008, I've built software to help people running businesses spend less time on repetitive manual tasks.

At StarCityGames, I began by running events and taught myself to program. I built Concierge, a system that brought registration, seating, staffing, badging, and cash reconciliation together in one place instead of using shared Google Docs. From 2012 to 2014 at Foresite, I created tools and review screens that made classifying network audit logs much less manual.

I was the sole early developer on Melee and later led the product until 2025. Melee handles registration, payments, and live operations for event organizers of all sizes, and is used by hundreds of thousands of people.

As an unpaid volunteer, I worked with Automattic's Special Projects team to design and build the classification and moderation pipeline for the PostSecret Searchable Archive.

I co-founded NILmetrics and built it from the ground up. It's a data pipeline that keeps ESPN data for about ten thousand Division I athletes and hundreds of teams in sync, runs scheduled scoring jobs, and provides admin tools and dashboards for four types of buyers.

Right now, I'm building the platform for Onslow Community Outreach's Christmas Cheer program for the 2026 season. This is a fixed-price project through Mythic Works. The code is stored in a GitHub organization under the nonprofit's name, so they fully own what they paid for.
